The Juicer Machines Centrifugal Juice Extractor by Sagnart is a great juicer which produces above average yields. It has 2 speed settings, the lower setting spins at around 6,000 rpm while the higher setting spins at around 12,000 rpm. Another plus point would be that all of the Juicer Machines Centrifugal Juice Extractor by Sagnart’s removable parts are dishwasher safe, which saves you valuable time. And, if you’re a fan of having pulp in your juice, then this juicer will work just fine for you.

However, if you like your juice pulp less, then you’ll probably need to sieve the juice through a strainer, which can reduce the juice yield a bit. It’s also heavy and difficult to move around and store.

    What are its best features?
  • It has a big feed chute so you’ll save time
  • Safety features
  • Easy to clean
    What could be improved?
  • A bit of pulp can get through the filter basket
  • The filter basket might be a bit difficult to clean without the special brush

  • Feed chute size: 3’’

More features: centered dual knife blade assembly, safety locking arm, overload protection, BPA-free in all food zones, 34 fl. oz. juice jug; 1-year limited warranty

The Breville JE98XL is a centrifugal juicer which has a dual speed feature. It also has a large feed chute size, so you won’t have to spend much time prepping your fruits and veggies beforehand. It has a stainless steel cutting disc with a micro mesh filter, which allows the juicer to extract around 30% more juice with 40% more vitamins. The Breville JE98XL also features a pulp collector which can store large amounts of pulp that makes cleaning the chambers of the juicer easier. This juicer also contains parts which are dishwasher friendly, so cleaning the Breville JE98XL will be a breeze. This juicer also has BPA-free parts (BPA is a chemical usually found in plastic) so, you won’t have to worry about your health being in jeopardy. This centrifugal juicer features a safety lock system so that it doesn’t accidentally hurt curious children.

Even though the juicer is powerful, large pieces of hard produce can clog it so they have to be cut into small pieces and this centrifugal juicer doesn’t do well with leafy greens.

    Why is it special?
  • The stainless steel cutting disc increases the efficiency of the juicer
  • The pulp collector is large so it’ll save you trips to the dustbin

The Cuisinart CJE-1000 features 5 adjustable speeds from 7,000 rpm to 13,000 rpm. It also has a power 1000W motor which can juice all kinds of produce, soft and hard. The Cuisinart CJE-1000 is a simple machine as it doesn’t have many features but this juicer is reliable. It only needs 5 seconds to turn your fruits and veggies into juice. The foam reducing filter also comes in handy if you prefer your juice foamless. The removable parts of the juicer are easy to clean by hand. Each part is also safe to be cleaned in the dishwasher. A nifty feature of the Cuisinart CJE-1000 is the adjustable flow spout which lets you control how much juice is extracted from a machine at a given time. It also has a 2-liter pulp bin which reduces the number of trips you need to make to clean it and also saves time.

The Cuisinart CJE-1000 is however a bit pricey compared to other similar products and it doesn’t produce as good of a yield with leafy greens and wheatgrass.

    What stands out?
  • It’s powerful and simple, taking only a few seconds to reduce your produce into juice
  • The foam filter makes sure the juice doesn’t have too much foam
  • Cleaning is a breeze as all its removable parts are dishwasher friendly
What cons did we manage to find?
  • It’s expensive considering it’s a relatively simple machine
  • There are better options if you want to juice leafy greens

The Breville BJE820XL contains a powerful 1200W motor and has 5 adjustable speeds from 6,500 rpm to 13,000 rpm. Because it’s fast, it works well against harder produce such as apples and carrots – although if these are your your top priority, then finding the best juicer for carrots would be a better idea!
This Breville actually has 2 functions, to juice and to puree. And, to utilize this dual functionality, the Breville BJE820XL comes with 2 discs which are easy to switch between. If you’ll be juicing often, then the Breville BJE820XL, even though it’s on the expensive side, will be a worthy investment. The body of the Breville BJE820XL is also made up of heavy-duty die-cast metal, making it very strong and durable. This juicer features many safety features such as a safety locking arm as well as an internal sensor which detects the temperature and turns the juicer off if it exceeds a certain temperature.

While it is one of the most powerful and efficient juicers on the market right now, it’s rather expensive. It’s also quite big so it can be a bit difficult to store. And the Breville BJE820XL is somewhat louder compared to other juicers.

    What makes it stand out?
  • It has more functionality as it can both juice and puree
  • Its 1200W motor can handle the hardest of produce with ease
  • If you plan to use a juicer regularly, this juicer is the one as it’s very durable
Which disadvantages must you keep in mind?
  • It’s quite expensive
  • It’s also big so you’ll need a lot of space to store it in

More features: safety locking arm, overheat protection

The Aicok Energy Efficient Juicer is an inexpensive centrifugal juicer. Even though it has a low Watt Motor, it makes up for it by having a high rpm. It has safety features such as a safety locking arm as well as an overheat protection so that the nutrients and vitamins in the juice don’t get destroyed. Its materials are BPA free so health won’t be a concern with this juicer. While it does have a smaller feed chute, which means that you’ll have to chop your fruits and veggies into smaller pieces, it’s just a minor inconvenience as this juicer is quite inexpensive and worth the price. It’s easy to disassemble and clean.

However, it’s not made up of the most durable material so you’ll have to be careful while working with it. The Aicok Juicer parts aren’t dishwasher friendly so you’ll need to wash them manually which might be bothersome if you want to save time. And, the motor tends to burn out after a minute of use and you’ll only be able to use it after letting it rest for two minutes.

Why did it make our list?
  • It’s cheap and gets the job done
  • It’s energy efficient as it has a 400W motor
What is not ideal about it?
  • You’ll need to chop your produce into smaller pieces
  • Since the motor burns out, making a cup of juice takes more time

The Hamilton Beach 67650 Big Mouth Pro Juice Extractor lives up to its name and has a 3” feed chute. So, you can fit your fruits and veggies inside it without spending much time cutting it into smaller pieces. This juicer is also strong with a 1.1hp motor and can easily make juice of even the hardest of fruits and veggies. The Hamilton Beach 67650 produces the best yield when juicing soft produce such as grapes, orange, tomatoes and so on. In general, this juicer produces above average yields with harder produce. The Hamilton Beach 67650 also has a sizable pulp bin, so you won’t have to waste your time clearing it in between juicing. This juicer features BPA-free parts and removable plastic parts which can all be washed in a dishwasher.

While it does show above average yields with hard produce, there are other juicers of similar price which shows better yield than the Hamilton Beach 67650. Its filter basket is also a tad bit difficult to clean and the juice might contain some pulp.

  • This juicer produces great yield with soft fruits and veggies
  • Long 3-year warranty
  • Cheap replacement parts

  • The filter basket is difficult to clean and lets pulp into the juice
  • It’s not as durable so it might not be the one if you plan to use it regularly
  • There are better options for juicing hard produce

Now that you’ve read through the individual product descriptions as well as the pros and cons, it is essential to know how the different features of each of these juicers can determine the right type of juicer for you. With this buying guide, we are going to help you understand the thought process behind the research, shed light to clear confusions you may have and make your overall decision-making process easier.

Why do you need a centrifugal juicer?

Centryfugal juicer

Are you eating 4-5 servings of fruits and vegetables every day? Yeah, we don’t blame you. You’re not the only one to not abide by this recommendation. In fact, according to the results of a study by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, only 1 in 10 adults is actually getting enough fruits or vegetables per day. We understand how difficult it is to fit all of that in your daily diet. We’re struggling too. A great method, however, to fulfill this dietary need and to change your eating habits is juicing. Drinking fresh juice daily not only detoxifies your body and strengthens your immune system but also increases nutrient absorption by letting you add a wide variety of fruits and vegetables to your diet. It helps in digestion, weight loss and reduces cravings.

What’s different about centrifugal juicers?

To understand centrifugal juicers in general, you have to know how they work before we dive into any other features. Centrifugal juicers use a flat cutting blade on the bottom of a rapidly spinning strainer that rotates at over 3000 RPM. The flat cutting blade spins the produce at high speed. With the use of centrifugal force, the cut produce is forced against the juicing strainer and juice is extracted. The tiny holes in the juicing strainer separate the juice from the pulp. You can even compare a centrifugal juicer to a washing machine in terms of its spinning motion. To use it, you just have to place the produce inside the chute.

[wpsm_box type=”red” float=”none” text_align=”left”]It’s different from other juicers because it is ideal for personal use and requires very little preparation before the actual juicing process. This juicer produces very little pulp and can even juice harder produce.[/wpsm_box]

Although they’re tough enough to handle pretty much any food product you throw at them, centrifugral juicers work best with fruits and vegetables that have a higher water content. If you’re looking to juice things such as kale or spinach, you’ll be better off going for a juicer for leafy greens or even a juicer for wheatgrass, if that’s what you’re into.

What to look at when choosing an ideal centrifugal juicer?

Understanding your needs is a key to the successful decision. Now let’s make clear what centrifugal juicers available on the market today can offer.

Speeds and motor

Speeds and motor of centryfugal juicer

The speed and motor of the centrifugal juicer will vary depending upon the type of juicer and the model. While traditional centrifugal juicers only provided two speeds, most of the latest models feature multiple speeds in order to optimally break down different types of produce. Speeds range from 6,000 to 16,000 rotations per minute (RPM). Lower speeds work well with soft fruits and greens and higher speeds with hard fruits. You should opt for a juicer with adjustable variable speed if you want more control over the juicing process.

Power of a juicer determines its speed as well as its ability to handle a heavy load. Most motors in these juicers range from 400 to 12,000 watts. Higher watt motors are more powerful. They are more efficient at breaking down harder foods because when dealing with the same type of fruits and vegetables, lower watt motors could overheat. A higher power motor ensures that the juicer isn’t going to break down under pressure.

Size of the chute

If the chute is large enough, with a centrifugal juicer, you could even fit an entire fruit in it. It is recommended that the chute be at least 3 inches wide. The idea behind the size of the feed chute is that the larger the size of the chute, the less is the preparation time. Despite having a large chute, sometimes, you might need to use a pusher to get the produce flowing smoothly through the juicer.

The chute size may seem like a trivial matter to many, especially in comparison to the price, weight, and others, it will matter down the line eventually. Sometimes you might be in a hurry or sometimes you might be trying to juice a variety of fruits and vegetables at once. A feed chute that is of a decent size will cut down preparation time by a large margin.

Build materials

Most companies make centrifugal juicers out of plastic because it is cheaper. Generally, use of plastic for the exterior isn’t such a big deal; it just has to be sturdy and durable. Even if the feed chute, power knob, and base are made out of plastic, it doesn’t really matter as long as it is made of durable hard plastic that can withstand shearing and bending forces. But the straining basket and the shredding disc cannot be made of plastic at all.

[wpsm_box type=”blue” float=”none” text_align=”left”]Plastic isn’t very durable and can also contain harmful chemicals so if you are looking for a long-lasting juicer then you would be better off finding options that are made out of metal. However, stainless steel juicers are generally on the higher end of the price range so they might not be within everyone’s budget.[/wpsm_box]

Ease of cleaning

Ease of cleaning centryfugal juicer

Usually, masticating juicers are easier to clean than centrifugal juicers. Because of the way centrifugal juicers are constructed, there are fewer parts to clean. But, some of these parts, like the feed chute and the screens, are slightly messier and take longer to clean. While most of the juicers have dishwasher-safe parts, we recommend that you clean the filter screen by hand as it doesn’t clean easily in dishwashers.

Noise

Since most centrifugal juicers have high RPM operation, produce is getting shredded at a rapid rate. Because of this, these juicers are prone to making a lot of noise. If noise is a deciding factor for you or if you are someone who likes juicing late at night or early in the morning while everyone is asleep, this is something you might want to seriously consider. Some high-end centrifugal juicers use latest innovative design to mask the noise so by listening to the noise created by the juicer, you can also tell how well designed it is or isn’t.

Price and warranty

Centrifugal juicers are the most cost-effective juicers in comparison to other types. They typically cost between $50–$300 whereas for other types of juicers, $300 would be the starting range.

[wpsm_box type=”green” float=”none” text_align=”left”]However, these juicers usually have a very short shelf life. They run at a very high power and speed and generate a lot of heat. Because of this, they are more prone to defects. Most of these juicers only come with 1 or 2 years of warranty. Some have up to 3 years but any juicer that has more than 1-year warranty is a pretty good deal.[/wpsm_box]

Conclusion

The best centrifugal juicer for you will depend upon the features that you value the most. Before this, if you were confused as to how to start your search for the perfect juicer, we hope that after going through the buying guide, the comparison table, product descriptions as well as the ratings, you now have an idea as to what type of juicer you want. We hope you find a juicer that will meet all your requirements and also satisfy your taste.
